JOB TITLE:  English Language Learners Instructional Paraprofessional - 2022-2023 school year

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:                  

• fluent in Spanish

• High School diploma;

• working knowledge of  computer software;

• good communications skills;

• experience working with ELL students preferred

REPORTS TO:  Building Level Administrators/ELL TOR/ELL District Coordinator

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

 

180 days per year; 7 hours per day; sick and personal days

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce English Language Learning of material of skills under the supervision of the ELL Teacher of Record

• Assignments may vary from day to day depending on student needs
• Reinforcing material or skills based on a sympathetic understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities
• Alerts the regular teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student
• Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as in expected of fully licsensed teachers
• Monitors student progress
• Participates in training programs as assigned
• Perform othe duties as requested bt the ELL TOR or District Coordinator
• Facilitates the completion of ELL documents
• Facilitate and or translate documents
